Philosophy: Why I Started This Server
Some of us still run into each other in WoW, but it’s been a long time since we played SWG together. I started this server because I wanted to revisit SWG with old Xarxet guildmates, without asking everyone to put in the hours we did back then.
This server is a love letter to the MMOs I’ve played, especially the ones we’ve played together as Xarxet. The artwork, music, and familiar characters are all part of that.
Respecting our time
We don’t have as much time for SWG as we did in 2003. We’ve either reduced or eliminated resource hunting, factory waits, credit farming, and housing upkeep so we can spend that time enjoying the game.
We still want challenging adventures and satisfying accomplishments. We also want to recreate the characters we remember, try the characters we never got to play, including Jedi, and help each other along the way.
Playing among friends
We remember what made people leave, too.
A bounty hunter once killed Myonax’s Jedi at least ten times over roughly an hour. Zithe and Noriko tried to help, but the hunter camped each revival, killing him again while repeating, “Don’t hate. It’s job.”
Myonax lost so much hard-earned XP that he quit. For those trying to help, the thought was: Why would I ever want to play a Jedi with someone like this around?
Now, we don’t have to. This server is invite-only: a place among friends, where strangers can’t wander in and make ruining someone’s evening their entertainment.
Come when you have time. Pursue what interests you. Spend an evening adventuring or just catching up. Or spawn a hundred Stormtroopers on top of Rebels at their base, just for the lulz.
It’s supposed to be enjoyable.
