What We’ve Added and Changed
We’ve changed quite a bit to make the server work for the few of us playing here. These are some of the additions and shortcuts you’ll find.
- Recreate your old characters. Bring back your old character the way you remember them, or make a new version you like better.
- Play multiple characters at once. One account is all you need! Launch another instance of SWG from the Launchpad, log into the same account, and select a different character. Unlike WoW, this won’t disconnect the character you’re already playing.
- Jedi unlock options. The old profession-based unlock has been replaced by the Force Sensitive Village questline. Experience it step by step while skipping the XP grinds, or request an immediate Jedi Knight unlock. Choose carefully: becoming a Jedi is irreversible, and that character cannot return to being a regular character. See the Jedi unlock guide.
- Equipment for small groups. Armor and weapons scaled to help a couple of players tackle the highest-level PvE content are freely available from the Character Builder Terminal.
- Easier crafting and faster factories. Perfect resources are available on demand, so you can skip the hours spent hunting for them. Factories produce intermediate components at one per second, about seventeen minutes for a full run of 1,000, so you can finish your item sooner and free up the factory for anyone waiting. Forgotten how SWG crafting worked? Read the crafting refresher.
- Housing without maintenance. Housing has zero daily maintenance, and starting credits let you get established without farming money first. Decorate, collect, and help rebuild Xarxet City.
- Custom artwork and music. Custom portraits, paintings, signs, and cantina music celebrate our characters and the games we’ve shared over the years.

- Ships and space travel. The Eta-2 (Jedi Starfighter) is an awesome ship from Revenge of the Sith that came to SWG long after most of us stopped playing. It’s available here with improved handling and capabilities. Permanent ship repair decay is disabled; combat damage and repair costs remain. We’re still fixing pilot missions. Check the JTL mission status page.
- Custom cantina encounters. Cantina encounters give buffs and XP, let friends join the fight, and reward participating healers.
- NPC dialogue and memory. NPC personalities, custom dialogue, and conversational memory are evolving. Right now, three bartenders and two dancers in Xarxet City support these conversations. Target these NPCs and use
/sayto talk to them. - We keep trying new ideas, too. Sometimes that means improving a mission; sometimes it means spawning a hundred Stormtroopers on a Rebel base, just for the lulz.
Or just come hang out. Show someone what you’ve built, listen to music, and catch up.
